INTRODUCTION TO TELEFEEDBACK FOR PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGY WEBINAR RECORDING

Presenter: Linda Walker, PhD

Biofeedback and neurofeedback practitioners use teletherapy to train clients who cannot attend office training either due to chronic health problems or distance. This is good for optimal performers who need to manage a tight schedule and for individuals with chronic illness to improve results by increasing trainng frequency. Now, with the spread of COVID-19, teletherapy has even greater significance. Therapists can keep their practice viable and keep therapy moving forward with their clients without going to the office. And: remote training minimizes illness exposure for both therapist and client. Even better: the selection of training platforms and technology to implement home training continues to grow. Now, home training can become viable and even preferable to office-based work. For therapists, spending some time evaluating the right training platforms and online methods to match their practice can make the transition to teletherapy smooth and seamless. This session reviews practical considerations for therapists moving toward home training, including evaluating appropriate equipment and technology, assessing client readiness for teletherapy, deploying equipment and software, and overcoming technical issues along the way.

All views expressed in the recording are solely those of the presenters and participants.
