DR. SWINGLE'S ADDICTIONS
This 1-hour webinar recording, Dr. Paul G. Swingle discusses addictions, such as alcoholism, drug use and internet addiction, in terms of brain activity as evaluated by his ClinicalQ Assessment method. His presentation takes into consideration the generalizations that lead to self-medicating behavior: brain neurology, distraction from unhappy environmental conditions, emotional sedation, uppers & downers, and pleasure versus pain. When it comes to addictions, it is important to keep in mind other conditions that lead to addiction, such as untreated ADD or depression, due to the disorder's co-morbidities.
Clinicians who are unfamiliar with Dr Swingle's ClinicalQ & BrainDryvr method will find this presentation useful as an introduction to his neurotherapeutic method.
Included in the recording are outlines of common EEG associates with addicts, and several client cases that reference the ClinicalQ assessment results and BrainDryver (neurotherapy) training. Dr. Swingle also discusses acupuncture as an effective adjunctive treatment.
Note: All views expressed in the recording are solely those of the presenters and participants and not those of the BFE.
