ONLINE CLASS RECORDING
CE Credit for psychologists is granted on a one credit per one contact hour basis.
This class is the perfect introduction to biofeedback and neurofeedback method as practiced by Lynda & Michael Thompson. As presented by Stephanie Nihon, MSc, BCIA, BCN, these recordings cover every step from running an initial assessment and training session to using different biofeedback and neurofeedback display screens for a variety of disorders. The class also provides an introduction to the use of Excel Spreadsheets to review and track client data and progress. Users of the "Setting Up For Clinical Success" suite (***also known as Thompsons' Suite) would benefit from these four 1.5-hour lessons that walk clinicians through the Thompsons' methods, with live examples of data recording.
A brief synopsis of these lessons is as follows:
Lesson 1: Introduction to EEG, equipment, intake, the basic EEG assessment and neurofeedback training process, artifacting and reporting.
Lesson 2: Elaborating on the introduction to EEG; running the 1 Hz bins EEG assessment and excel report; detailed example of an EEG training session and setting the on-screen parameters.
Lesson 3: Clinical applications of EEG (depression, memory, learning problems, ADD/ADHD and subtypes, dyslexia, autistic spectrum), introduction to HRV and sEMG (muscle tension) training.
Lesson 4: Introduction to physiological assessment (respiration, HRV, skin conductance, temperature, sEMG) and training; review of artifacting process.
