Professionals working with at-risk and adjudicated adolescents can find the display screens they need to begin using neuro and biofeedback with this population. Based on the work being done at the Nokomis Challenge Center in Michigan Corrections Institute in the United States. There suite includes software and instructional materials on the different biofeedback training considerations when working with troubled youth. The authors underline the important of striking a balance between what a youth wants, and what the training needs are. This can be accomplished by educating the teen about the benefits of the training and using multiple tasks to keep things interesting. The biofeedback screens use a variety of music and animations and DVDs that appeal to youths and can also be individually tailored for specific needs and interests of each youth. Importance is given to the transferability of the improvements in skills for the home and school by using homework assignments to be done in other settings (such as school) and educating others involved in treatment about what the youth is working on and how they can help youth apply their skills.
