This suite includes software used to display integrated RMS surface Electromyography (SEMG) commonly seen by psychologists and physical therapists. Advanced SEMG measures, combined with physiological provide measures related to chronic pain and used in biofeedback for muscle reeducation, relaxation and rehabilitation. Biofeedback involves developing patients’ ability to alter a particular physiological response by providing them with feedback about the response they are attempting to control. Electromyograph (EMG) is one of the most common types of biofeedback, which involves feedback of muscle tension. Indeed, since the earlier pessimistic view of biofeedback, biofeedback training does provide subjects with information that enables them to control voluntarily some aspect of their physiology that may contribute to the pain experience. The software, data and documentation in the limited edition suite help to provide clear instruction in biofeedback.
