ALPHA THETA CLASS RECORDING
CE Credit for psychologists is granted on a one credit per one contact hour basis.
In these four 1.5-hour session recordings, originally presented in June 2011, Linda Walker instructs participants on Alpha-Theta training to facilitate treatment of individuals struggling with recovery from substance abuse, trauma and PTSD. Furthermore, Alpha-Theta training can benefit meditation and performance enhancement. The material discussed is based on current research and her own clinical experiences. A brief synopsis of these lessons is as follows:
- Lesson 1: History of alpha-theta training, theory of why it helps and contemporary research and protocols.
- Lesson 2: Leading up to starting Alpha-Theta therapy with a client; relaxation strategies; principles for induction and running an Alpha-Theta session; EEG electrode placement and montage; EEG bandwidths; induction tips; example of an alpha-theta session.
- Lesson 3: Further examples of an alpha-theta session, in terms of EEG reading and the therapeutic induction; review of Alpha-Theta training suite visual displays for monitoring data.
- Lesson 4: Discussion with participants regarding further questions and experiences with Alpha-Theta training; client examples
Users do not need to own the Alpha-Theta Training software suite in order to benefit from these sessions.
