| 7th Annual Meeting | ||||||||||||||||||

Over 100 people from 23 countries attended the 7th Annual Meeting in Udine, Italy from February 18 to 22, 2003. The meeting was at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Institute "Gervasutta" in Udine, in the northeast corner of italy, at the centre of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region which is known for its extraordinary beauty. This year’s conference included a joint track with the European wing of the International Society for Neuronal Regulation (E-iSNR). This link represents a unique opportunity to foster greater collaborative links between members of both sponsoring organizations. The Scientific Program this year featured key note addresses by Joe Kamiya, Ph.D., Evolution, Consciousness and Biofeedback, Stuart Donaldson, Ph.D., EMTA, BCFE, ABDA: "Fibromyalgia: A Complex Neurological Problem Involving the Muscloskeletal and Central Nervous System." Wolfgang Klimesch, Ph.D. “Memory, Cognitive Performance and EEG Frequencies in the Theta and Alpha Range” and Roberto D. Pascual-Marqui, Ph.D. “A New Method for the Computation of Cortical Connectivity with SLORETA (Standardized Low Resolution Brain Electromagnetic Tomography). In addition to the key note speakers delegates enjoyed an excellent program of presentations. In addition to the scientific program there was a wide choice of 1-day, and 2-day workshops led by well-known biofeedback clinicians from Europe and North America who demonstrated the latest biofeedback techniques and technology for many applications. There was also an exhibition area for commercial and non-profit organizations. On Friday, February 21st there was a wonderful Gala Dinner Party at the Astoria Hotel featuring fine Italian cuisine and music.
